My name is Sammy. My last name is pronounced like Freeze, just like Doctor Fries (more popularly known as Mr. Freeze) from batman (now you can get the blog name). I am a trapeze artist, an avid photographer, and lately I haven't been such an avid shoe wearer. My blog is random, but its all original content created by me, and with some help from my surroundings. Enjoy,
The doctor.
I brought out some of the new filters I got to trapeze and played with them for a while. The split image is my favorite.
I took this shot on black and white 35mm film in philly with my Diana +. Its a double exposure of a sign and a tree. Printing was difficult because the Diana records over the sprockets, and I wanted that part of the picture in my print. I ended up taking some thick paper and gluing some black paper over it and making an insert for a 120 carrier so I could print it. I took an exacto blade and stylized the carrier, then put the film in between the carrier and the insert and taped it to make sure it didn’t move when I put it in the enlarger. Really glad that I decided to file out the inset.
I saw some figurines while I was on a shoot today, I really like this, regardless of the subject matter. Go jesus?
I saw this picture of one of my classmates as a kid. I instantly thought of harry. According to wikipedia, this is the way you spell the killing spell.
This is a photo of “future me” from when I used to fly planes sometime in the 1900’s. Just assume that there is time travel in the future, its way less complicated that way.
